does Disability Living Allowance affect Tax credits

I have been getting a very small amount for working famillies tax credits (£40/mth) but recently was asked if I get DLA. I do for my dughters excema, will this affect Tax credits positively or negative;y. is it a way for them to reduce the amount further?

It can actually increase your tax credits so you should tell them. It is not counted as income and can only affect them positively.

we got a higher tax credit from dds visual impairment and mobility dla.
