Housing benefit question

I am currently claiming housing benefit but only get an allowance for one bedroom for my 2 DSs. We have a 3 bedroom house, so they each have their own bedroom but i struggle to pay the rent. I heard recently that there may be a new ruling about bedroom allowances for same sex children depending on their ages, ie if one is a teenager. Anyone know anything about this? My DSs are 9 and 13.

i think (and this is from memory from the letter we were sent) that the bedroom rule applies for different sex children.
so i think you would only be allowed 2 beds

you may find further and better info on your local council website
