Can anyone tell me where the best place to sell a used Patek Philippe watch is please?

I’m in financial difficulties and need to start selling stuff.

Chrono24 as above is more global in scale, but also try watchfinder.co.uk

Goldsmiths/Watches of Switzerland may also be worth a try if you have a branch near you, they're in great nick, and you have papers.

What model is it and what kind of condition? Some sell much faster than others.

Thanks for replying both. @InveterateWineDrinkerits the 24~4. I think it was around 2009 it was given to me. I still have the original box (and shop bag, for some reason). I’d have to check that I still have the paperwork.

If it’s been sent back to them for battery/cleaning etc, don’t they keep a record too?

Hi OP, not sure at all whether battery change records are kept, although any reputable dealer will check it against a register of stolen watches every time one comes in so no idea what other records exist.

The Twenty-4 is a nice enough watch, but unlike say a steel Nautilus is not something people are waiting to pounce on the moment they come on to the pre-owned market, and Swiss quartz watches in general are not really hot anyway. I'm no expert but my gut feel is that you're more likely to find an international buyer than a UK one, which would lead me more towards chrono24.

Either way, it's always a shame when you have to sell something like this, especially if it was a meaningful gift. Good luck.
