Heating oil..wtf?

Obviously we will all feel the economical effects of the Middle East conflict due to the increase in gas prices. However, heating oil has literally doubled, and could go even higher. I live rurally and rely on heating oil but on today's rate I just can't afford it. I was chatting to a friend today who isn't too concerned as her gas and electric is fixed for another two years. It just got me thinking: will oil just keep going up? Can't the Government do anything? Are the oil companies profiteering? I attach a Boiler Juice quotation. I almost passed out when I got it! Currently lying under 4 throws to keep warm 🙃

Gas and electricity are regulated whereas oil isn't unfortunately

We filled up recently. I think it’s about £1300 for us on average. I’m glad we did so. We won’t need to for a good few months.
