Need to prove my dad gifted me money in 2008 and 2015

I can see 5 years previous bank statements online. Is there any way he or I could obtain evidence of these transactions being so long ago? 2006, 2008 and 2015

I believe you can get them from the bank by going in. Though finding a branch might be hard. You'd probably need to call if you can't go in person.

So you need to show that you received the money or that it was a gift rather than a loan? Or both?

What are you trying to prove exactly? Are you looking to prove that money came into your account from his (in which case his bank and your bank could produce statements for the dates). But you may have to order these and there will probably be a charge.

Are you looking to prove he willingly gifted it to you? That could be harder unless there was a will or letter.

Is your Dad still alive?
If so it should be ok for him to write you a letter explaining it’s a gift.
