I sent my form of last week and thought I would have received a standard text or something to let me know they have received it. I stupidly didn’t do it recorded and it was a short address. Hoping it’s not been lost but didn’t know if it’s standard to receive a text to let you know they had received it

I applied a few months ago for my DW, did it online. Didn't receive anything until first payment went in about 6 weeks later? Finally got a letter about 4 weeks after that, but post here is terrible.

The only address I had to send the paperwork to was: Attendance Allowance Department Of Work And Pensions. No postcode so I couldn't get a receipt at the Post Office. Thankfully it arrived ok and I got an online acknowledgement a few days later.
When they rang me some time later to do a satisfaction survey I brought up the fact there was no postcode and therefore I couldn't prove it was sent, the person said there should have been one and she would look into it.

We received money in the account this week so we know it's been dealt with but still haven't received any kind of acknowledgement of receiving the application or confirmation of any kind. No emails, test messages or snail mail.

Yes the address I sent form to had no postcode but it was from the official gov website. Good to hear they received it and others didn’t hear until payment. Thanks for replies. Hopefully I’ll hear soon.

Posted. I didn't think you could do them online or I would have! However I'm not in the UK so it may be different for us.
