A bit of background to my total stupidity!
We have a sky box has been a little temperamental so went online a week or so back and asked for details of the sky service package things off their website.
This evening go a phonecall, bloke 'phoning about sky warranty, you want to re-new, it will be £6 a month can set up over the phone'.
I honest to god can't think what came over me normally so careful but I said oh good and gave all the details of my switch card he requested.
Hung up and brain immediately turned on and got me very panicked, immediately phoned bank and explained my royal cock-up!
No new transactions were showing against the account and they immediately cancelled my switch card which they say will invalid the information I gave the bloke.
Please tell me that someone else out there has done something as stupid and re-assure me that cancelling the card will stop them being able to put any transaction through!
