Why are my bank transactions suddenly wrong in my online account? Is it anything to lose sleep over?

I've logged into my online bank account tonight and the transactions and balance are wrong. It was all fine when I last logged in a couple of days ago. Tonight all the debit card transactions and a direct debit are missing from the last week and - most worryingly - the two main credits of my income at the end of October are missing too (one small credit is still there). All these things were showing correctly two days ago. It is the Cooperative Bank.

Has anyone had this happen to them or does anyone in banking know what has happened? Obviously I'll ring the bank in the morning when they open but, in the meantime, is it anything to lose sleep over?

TIA

I mean, there's nothing you can do now so no. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. It's probably a software glitch but until you call you won't know.

If you look at their twitter account they are having IT issues

Thanks all.

I'm not on Twitter so I wasn't aware of that.

The bank's website says all is working normally. Concerning to see most of your income disappear overnight!

Thankfully everything seems back to normal this morning.

I’ve been having a similar issue with my NatWest app 🫤

In 2012 the RBS banking system has a major problem. I'd just received my husband's life insurance pay out. £200000! Which id seen the day before and transferred to another account. I was therefore £200k in debt! Scary but it got fixed.
