ESA if already working?

Is it possible to claim ESA when already working part time? Due to a sudden deterioration in my disability I’ve had to drop from full time to only 10 hours per week. I get standard PIP too.
Ive looked online and it says that you have to tell them before you intend to start work, but I can’t find what to do if you already work but had to drop to part time?

Edit: I do have enough Nat insurance contributions as I’ve worked FT until 5 months ago. Not entitled to UC.

I think you can claim new style esa and work, if less than 16 hours and/ or earning £195.50 after tax. Don’t quote me on that, but it’s something like that. You will have need to have paid 2 /3 years NI contributions.

Maybe make a claim and see where it takes you because there is a thing called “ permitted” work ( where the above applies I think).

Good luck Op.

Thank you. I suppose I have nothing to lose by attempting to claim.
