I am self employed and currently having a universal credit review
I was asked to send 4 months bank statements which I have I had a phone call and was asked loads of questions about income and how I pay towards rent etc end of phone call asked for savings statements and was told she needs to add income and outcome of self employment and check its right. I got the statements uploaded and then asked again on the journal for certain dates of statements sent them in and now have been booked in for another phone call in a week is this normal ?

I hope so, yes. I don’t want people receiving benefits who are not entitled to them.

Yes it’s normal. Lots of hoops to jump through. They want to be sure that you’re providing as comprehensive a picture of your finances as possible.

For self employment in believe so. usually you only get one phone call but if information is missing you might get two i was told I would get a second phone call however they didn't bother because all the information was fine took months though

Yes normal, are your savings over £6000?

Ajs1111 · 15/10/2025 07:05
