I started a new job this month and was previously paid on 18th.
I’m now paid on 15th
I usually get my UC on 22nd with housing benefit included then pay my rent

I checked the other day and I’m getting nothing as they assess my earnings between 16th and 15th and as I got paid on 18th august from last employer and 15th sept for new one my benefit has been reduced to nil

i get paid on 15th October so now I am one month out and really struggling to pay rent

is there anything I can do? I’ve sent messages on my journal but no reply
really really stressing

Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing you can do. You've been paid twice in one assessment period. The fact that it's an artefact of a changed pay date doesn't matter to UC.

its really shit and a huge flaw in the system but it's all part of how UC saves money so it won't ever get changed.

This is like when people that get paid 4 weekly get a double payment in their assessment period. They don’t get UC as it’s 13 pay periods.

put a message on your journal and state it’s about a payment and ask if it can be adjusted as you’ll still only be getting 12 wage payments. Can’t guarantee they will adjust but it’s worth the ask.
