quick question for anyone who does telephone-banking

vannah · 30/05/2008 22:43

I dont use the internet for banking
Are there any banks that dont have an 0845 or 0870 number?
Im with barclays at the moment, and the amount of money I spend on these calls is ridiculous.
A free-phone or normal landline number would be great.
Any other banks?
thanks

First Direct have a 0113 area code that you can call. Absolutely wonderful customer service too.

0845 calls are only about 1p a minute after 6pm, if it helps?

bellavita · 31/05/2008 22:14

mammya - I use that website an awful lot.

If you ring a landline, sign up first for 1899 or 18185 - BT have gone back to charging silly money for landline calls

Lloyds have an 01793 number or similar on their website, instead of their 0845 number.
