EBay £1000 threshold

DH has been selling a few old collectibles of mine through his eBay account. We don’t have too many more to go, but he’s reaching the £1000 tax threshold. Would it be dodgy to then go through my account? Or should we hold off until April next year and restart?

There is no tax to pay if it is just your own, unwanted, items.

As long as you haven’t bought in order to sell on, it’s fine. The only exception to that would be if any one item (or ‘set’) were to exceed £6k in which case CGT may be due.

Oh fab, thank you!
We’re definitely not going to make over £6,000 altogether so that will be fine.
