Has anyone had any dealing with Springbok properties

As the title states really….
i have found a house that I am totally in love with! Which is a rarity as I haven’t yet had that ‘feeling’ when you walk into one until now!
The seller previously had sold the house but the buyer pulled out at the last minute and so now, to prevent this, it has been relisted with Springbok Properties. If I put an offer in that is accepted I then need to pay a £2.5k holding deposit to show that I am serious about purchasing etc. I am happy to do this as I want the house….but this isn’t normal practise I know! I just wondered if anyone else has used springbok and what their experience with them has been like?

Yes, and what a bloody nightmare it was. Never again will I consider a house they are selling.

We didn’t continue as they were impossible to get hold of for several weeks, finally found another property a few streets away with a high street estate agent and even though the seller was a nightmare, we completed in April.

Gosh really. Are you able to explain briefly why? Did you lose your reservation deposit?

We did get back most of what was paid, if I recall it was around £650 short, but I could be wrong.

im so gutted. I absolutely have fallen in love with the property…first time since I’ve been looking…and they are with springbok 😔

Lack of communication was the biggest issue. If they couldn’t communicate effectively when I was in the starting process of buying, it didn’t give me much hope for any issues.

No one seemed to know anything!

Such a shame. I’d be happy to put the deposit down if I knew it would all go through fine! Are there any hidden charges at all?

Years ago, but they stick in my mind because the agent was so unprofessional. He told us that the vendor just laughed when they heard our offer. The house didn't end up selling so I don't think he laughed for too long 🤡

Honestly I spoke to the sales guy the other day and it reminded me of the old Kirby Hoover salesmen back in the day 🤣🤣 needless to say I didn’t put an offer in!!!! Xx
