NHS Maternity Pay - Help

I am top of Band 6 and am currently into my third month of maternity leave. I am receiving OMP and SMP and have asked to spread my payments over 11 months. This month (third month) my net pay was £1716.11. I was expecting more like £2062 as this was what was on my forecast.

I have attached my payslip as I am confused. What is the OMP Pay deduction on the left of £556.20 about?? I thought this month was going to be a good month but am disappointed.

any help or advice would be appreciated!

Is the amount deducted the amount they are 'saving' for you because you are spreading your pay over 11 months?

I don’t think so because my friend is on maternity leave too with the same Trust and she said that she doesn’t have a minus number on the left side of her payslip and it looks wrong. I have asked her what her net pay has been and am waiting for a reply but wondered whether anyone else on here is in the same position.

Will contact payroll on Monday as this figure does not seem right….but maybe it is!
