My assement period for universal credit is 20th to the 19th of every month. I added my new child to my claim on the 19th (so the last day) they messaged me in my journal with an appointment to take in evidence of my new child.
I've just looked at my statement for this month and my new child isn't on there, I wasn't expecting them to be because I've not proved their existence yet. But I thought it would say something like we can't pay you for x child as we haven't received proof yet.
Did I not add them to the claim in time or will they just back date the child element for them once I've sorted the evidence?
