Botwatch 89!!!!!! MLM is dying but we are still watching and sadly there are still many victims. 99.6% of participants in these “legal” schemes lose money but they are STILL being promised the world by MLM.

@Crikeyalmighty It’s definitely a dying thing though the initial flurry of anticipation can make it look like any new MLM business is successful, but it’s just the same old flash in the pan. Except that these days more people are sceptical and/or aware of MLM, have less money to speculate even if they are fooled and generally there is a teeny tiny audience of receptive people. The showy-offy ‘look at my house, holiday, car’ has gone out of fashion to a degree which some bots have failed to realise. The old methods don’t work well. If the big MLMs and their bots can’t make attraction marketing and trickery work in their favour I don’t see how the Yawns of this world are going to get noticed.

Looks like Yawn has gone back to stretching her photos (chocolate brown trousers one).

She's not that shape in real life and her head (in fact nobody's head) is that long/tall!

Where on earth do you buy a t shirt with shoulder pads!?

Spongebobette · 07/09/2025 05:08

Interesting that Yawn’s DD doesn’t want to appear in the family photo

Yes it is...

fitgirl26 · 07/09/2025 13:36

Yawn is congratulating herself with a load of woo woo crap about sitting on the floor because there were not enough chairs. If that was my family my husband or my sons would have insisted I had a chair but I guess she needed the photo for “engagement”.
I’m glad her daughter is still refusing to have her photo put on Facebook.

MrsDilligaf · 07/09/2025 16:57

I think one of the "newest" MLM's is LiveGood, but it has probably been around for a few years.

When I was a Bot (BSAH, Virgin Vie) it was back before Internet shopping took over (so late '90's, early '00's) and it was also a social thing. Go round to your mates, have a glass of wine, buy a candle/lipstick/etc.

I made a load of money selling (absolutely nothing from recruiting) because pre Credit Crunch, people had money.

People are much more savvy now, but these dyed in the wool Bots are still living in the glory days - and those are not coming back anytime soon.

YouOKHun · 07/09/2025 19:24

Where does 2Jags get her data from? The Ministry of Truth at Arsehole House? Or perhaps she just thinks of some numbers and writes them down? 73% of people in NWM earn up to £1000 a month apparently. What’s the betting 99% of the 73% earn very very little with £20 a month falling into the “up to” bracket? 2Jags is hard of thinking but even she must know this is misleadingly positive spin on a dying “industry”.

Ridiculous

OP posts:
PieonaBarm · 07/09/2025 19:56

I know a Temple Spa bot who has admitted having virtually no income after being very successful in BSAH but the rug was pulled from under her. She would fall into the “Upto £1000” and “sole source of income”. In fact she would fall into all of those brackets.

YouOKHun · 07/09/2025 20:03

@SpongebobetteI see it’s a cut and paste job, straight off the Direct Spamming Association’s website. Could an association set up by dodgy MLM bosses to protect their interests, with a CEO who can’t even describe what MLM is and with a name that obscures the nature of MLMs by calling itself the Direct Selling Assoc possibly not be the best source of facts?

YouOKHun · 07/09/2025 20:18

Quite @PieonaBarm. In my line of work we earn “up to” £20,000 a month (someone probably has but 99.9% of us aren’t even close to that!) but it’s probably technically correct. It’s slippery language and just the kind of ambiguity that attracts those who want to believe it.

I wonder who is in the 52% who have been building their businesses for five years? Nurse? Speccy? Techie? Headband? Scotbot? and many nameless others who are spending as much as they are making (Headband) or who have given up after years of wasting their time and money (the masses of early quitters being the lucky ones).

Spongebobette · 06/09/2025 18:14

She’s picking 5 ladies every 2 weeks

she’ll run out v quickly 😂

The Inner Tube members get to pay to go live for 5 minutes to pad out the offering they are paying for so that other paying members can watch someone as gullible as they are talking about their tenuous grasp of commercial reality. Sounds good; sign me up.

There can only be one person pencilled in - Doggy Bot? There doesn’t seem to be any interest in the offer. She can’t pick a man from Eastern Europe to speak about being paid to follow random sites so where are these “ladies” going to come from? I expect it will just get quietly dropped.

I must say that the wind seems to have gone out of Yawn’s sails a bit. She’s just a bit more subdued than she was in launch phase. She must be worried. Only she knows how much time she spends watching daytime TV or preparing for a five minute Live before returning to Escape to the Country (or whatever is on). I expect Mr Yawn also knows her predicament and that he needs to hang on to his job

Spongebobette · 07/09/2025 20:49

Do you think she was really expecting dozens of sign ups when she ‘launched’?

OP posts:
YouOKHun · 07/09/2025 21:07

I think she was hoping rather than expecting at this stage and pinning a lot on Techie’s contribution. Where are these legal eagles and the photographer? Not a word from them about BuildABear. I think they have said “yes, fine” to the offer to send clients their way but beyond that they’re not interested.

I think Yawn needs to do something with Dogs, she's good in that field and drop this woo stuff she's doing, maybe Dog sitting/walking or cat/house sitting? It's something she'd be good at and enjoy..

Spongebobette · 08/09/2025 08:55

That’s a great idea and, if she listened to her own advice (find something you are passionate about and good at and turn it into a business) she would do it

but it’s not as glamorous as being a bit of a star business guru is it?

OP posts:
Wintersgirl · 08/09/2025 09:40

No I suppose not! However there's a demand for it especially for cats (in my area at least) Cats are often best left in familiar surroundings when owners go away, I know several people who use the services of a cat sitter...

OhMyGiddyAunt · 08/09/2025 12:01

I live near Yawn and db local pages seem to have a lot of dog sitters and walkers pop up .... some last and do well (because they get recommended) and some don't (eg. Yawn's son and his ex girlfriend when they briefly set-up a dog walking business)

Spongebobette · 08/09/2025 12:20

Oh that business didn’t take off despite having a top notch business coach in the family?

OP posts:
dickiedavisthunderthighs · 08/09/2025 14:32

I noticed that Yawn is liking all posts she's making using her own account, her Unlucky Girl account, and her BuildaBear account. So now she's getting three likes per post rather than one.

Spongebobette · 08/09/2025 14:38

Lolling at the ‘whizz at Canva and a keen eye for detail’ review

has this person not seen all the errors in Yawn’s posts??

Angrymum22 · 08/09/2025 16:18

Yawn has 3 clients. I predict a shopping trip to celebrate the huge profit that is flowing in from her new venture.
I wonder how she will deal with clients when she loses interest. If I was paying her thousands of pounds I’d want a refund. I wonder what her T&Cs look like.

BSintolerant · 08/09/2025 16:23

Yawn’s T&Cs are as follows:

  1. Lie Live.
  2. Laugh.
  3. Love.

Not who have paid her 3k
