GXS parking fine

Anyone had one of these? Private company parking fine.

Ive ignored so far and just received a text from a debt recovery firm, also going to ignore.

the photo of my offence is ridiculous, there is clearly no breach so I’m prepared to go to court if needs be.

im assuming their next action will be to issue a Letter Before Court. At that point I’ll have to engage but just wondering if anyone else has gone through the process?

What are they saying the offence is?

They are saying I didn’t park within the white lines of the bay. The photo evidence clearly shows I was in the correct place. Also, it’s a beachside car park so many of the lines are obscured by shingle.

Have you appealed via the process on the letter? I don’t know much re parking fines but we appealed one recently and they looked into it. (Different firm).

Yes I sent the initial appeal. Heard nothing more until I received a debt collectors text this morning. I’m ignoring that

Remember, if it is a private car park, as opposed to a council one, then it isn't a fine, it is an invoice for breaking their T and C's. If the evidence they have is unclear then you have a very good chance of defeating it in court.
