Can I take faulty goods back to a normal M and S store for refund . Bought trousers last weekend, worn two days only. Seam wasn't overlocked proerly so has already frayed , causing a hole 1 1/2 inch long

if it's from an outlet it has to go back to an outlet.

geordieminx · 23/05/2008 19:12

I thought it could go back to any store...Perhaps you could ring and find out?

The outlet store I go to has signs in store saying that returns can only be made to an outlet

yes
in my local M&S outlet there are signs everywhere saying M&S outlet HAS to go back to an outlet store

(also M&S normal store stuff can only be returned to a normal M&S store)

Receipt says we have until August to get a refund anyway (and longer for statutory rights) so will probably be back at one by then but it is very annoying since it isn't as if I've just changed my mind.
