When to inform UC

My son is finishing college next week. When do i inform UC. The day he leaves or is it the same as child benefit 31 August? Last year they sent a message saying is he continuing in further education

I’m pretty sure it just ends automatically on 31st August

They send you a message and a todo just fill that in

I believe it is the final day of the college term. Have a look on the college website to see when term ends for final year students eg 11th July. It is this date you need to inform UC with. If you wait you will end up with an overpayment and owe them money. Child benefit is different this will automatically end on 31st Aug. Happy to be corrected if any of the above is not accurate.
