Posting on behalf of DH as we are both currently getting nowhere and seems to be remarkably little about this online.
DH does some work for a US company who process payments via Convera. It’s a loose contract but he’s had 6 or so payments in the last year all around £1200. One was sent via faster payment on Friday and still hasn’t arrived. The international element is a bit of a red herring as it’s sent to Barclays in the UK who then distribute the payments so not coming from a UK account.
Sender is adamant it’s sent - has sent all the relevant paperwork, traces etc. Account number and sort code are correct. As I say no problem in the past. Also large company and no reason at all to suspect solvency issues etc and paperwork all is in order. NatWest are saying nothing to do with them, they can’t trace and no ability to. Sending company say Convera have done everything their end and can provide all paperwork to back this up. So we are stuck in the middle with no payment and seemingly no recourse!
I was wondering if anyone could suggest a) what might have happened and b) what next steps can be.
