Does anyone know - if I died before talking my pension, can my DH get what would have been my lump sum, or will he only be able to get the (reduced by 50%) monthly amount? TIA

Ask Nat West's pension team? I imagine there are multiple versions of the rules depending when you joined & left, so they will be able to check which apply to you.

If you die in service there's some life cover. If you die after taking your pension you'll have already taken the lump sum.

Sorry if you die before retirement, not necessarily still in service.

Every DB pension scheme has its own rules, you’d be best to speak to the scheme and see what they say.
