Stupid question about mortgages!

Hi all,

Am about to remortgage to a 5 year fix and I'm trying to work out what the balance will be in 5 years (so can then add overpayments to my calcs). I can't seem to find any calculators that do this (or I'm being thick). The mortgage is 14 years.

An anyone advise of a calculator please, or someone who is better at maths!

The current mortgage about is 96,000 and our interest rate is 4.26 (monthly payments around 750). We usually overpayment 300. Thank you very much for reading!

MSE have a really good over payment calculator. I'm sure that'd give you all of the information you're wanting.

Thanks for replying. I didn't think it did but I'll go back because maybe I was doing it wrong!

At the end of 5 years the balance would be £48k

£48k is with your over payments btw. If you didn't over pay it would be £68k
