I have had a fraudulant transaction on my amex card and I have no idea how it happend. I am UK based and have never been to mexico. However this afternoon I had a 100 mex peso transaction notification on my amex app. so I called the fraud line, in that time the card was used 3 more times for the same amount in mexico, they have cancelled the card

also about a week ago I had a $300 dollar nija purchase on my sccount where money was taken but refunded straight away. when I spoke to amex they said not to worry as it was liklrey a typo.

question is how has this happend and what can I do to protect myself?

should i replace my other cards too?

There’s nothing more you can do, your Account will be flagged that it’s had fraudulent transactions on it. These scammers start by taking out small amounts first, then increase them and in certain countries you can use card details without giving the 3 digit security numbers.

Contact fraud team at bank, these things happen , they will / should refund you

Yes, Amex have done that. I don't understand how they got my details. As I'm always really careful about where I buy online
