How to close Child Maintenance case

I divorced last year and opened a CM case against Ex as DC was spending zero time at his house.
Wheels were set in motion by CMS when surprise surprise Ex finally got his arse in gear and organised overnight contact.

DC now spends about half the week with him. He has let the CMS know but says he is still being hounded for payment which is due to start next week and he is flapping.

I will try and get the case shutdown but I’m assuming as it was a direct pay arragement they won’t go after him anyway? He is stressing that they are going to take money at source from him - but I don’t think that’s what happens unless I tell them he hasn’t kept up with payments?

Did you register online if so you can log into your account and close it.

Yes I did it online. It won’t let me make any changes saying my case is under review - the latest update was a letter early March saying the Ex had notified them that DC was now staying with him half the time and that if I didn’t respond within 7 days the changes would be made.
I didn’t see any point in responding but it appears they are still saying Ex should be paying.

can I get it easily shutdown over the phone?

Also I assume they won’t actually go after him for money unless I instruct
them?

Direct pay he makes payments you receive unless you declare he has not paid the required amount and when they can’t do anything further. Are they in the middle of the calculation hence why you cannot close online? I guess you could try phoning Monday but usually very hard to get through to.
