Hi.
My DS has been medically discharged from work due to epilepsy diagnosis as he drives as part of his job and obviously he could no longer continue.
His wife works part time 16 hours a week and they have a DS who 18 months old.
He is looking for another job but so far lo luck.
My question is can they both apply for benefits and what benefits can they apply for. He has never been unemployed so really unsure of what they are entitled to.

They would probably be eligible for UC. He can use an online calculator to check what's likely.
He may be eligible for PIP depending on his needs.

Entitled2 is a great site with a benefits calculator

They'd need to apply for UC as a couple in a joint claim. Dils wages would be taken into consideration and UC would ask your son to sign a commitments form to say he's looking for work. It's really easy to apply online and he'd have an appointment at a jobcentre to prove his identity and sign his comments quite quickly after applying

As above they can apply jointly for Universal Credit. If they pay rent then UC can help with that.

If he's worked he might be entitled to New Style Jobseekers which is not means tested.

As ever with starting out on a benefits journey Help to Claim is a good place to start.

If in Scotland also check out Adult Disability Payment and Scottish Child Payment
