Payday is April 21st which is Easter Monday.. the Friday before is bank holiday… when will I be paid?

I have asked finance who are yet to come back to me. My payday is always 21st and that will be on BH Monday for Easter. Usually I would be paid the Friday before but that is also a BH as it is Good Friday.

so when will I be paid? Do you think Tuesday 22nd or Thursday 17th?

I’d say the Thursday before.

I get paid on a set date every month. If it falls on a weekend or bank holiday, then it’s paid the last working day before that date.

Most contracts state that money has to clear into your account on or before your pay date.

I would therefore expect it to go into your account on either Thursday 17th or Saturday 19th (if payroll set it up beforehand).

I'd expect to be paid on Thursday 17th. I don't think firms can pay late.

Where I work, payday is the 24th of the month but if it falls on a weekend or bank holiday, we get paid the last working day beforehand.

I'm amazed your Finance Dept can't tell you.

I get paid on the 20th of each month and in April my payday is 17th of April - the day before Good Friday

Same for me. They have to go early. So I think the Thursday.

It will be the last working day (the same as if the 21st was on a weekend), so the 17th.

A company I used to work for would have paid it on the Tuesday, I had a very sad Easter weekend many years ago expecting to get paid on the Thursday and didn't get paid until the Tuesday! I was so poor back then I had practically nothing to eat!

It would be very unusual to be paid later than the stated payment date. Is there a reason you think your employer will delay the payroll?
