Child disability payment advice

I get child disability for my eldest. Put my youngest application in end of Oct 2024. I was paid my eldest child's 3 weeks ago and another payment has went in, it wasn't due, but if it's the youngest ( we have not had any confirmation or letter to say what stage the application is or a decision) why is it not a backdated amount? Just wondering if this happened to anyone else ?

So it's either a week early for eldest or new payment for youngest minus back payment? Confused.

The first payment often comes before the letter & can come before the backdated money. You can call or ask on live chat for a new letter to be sent

Looks like maybe it's a low rate award. ( child age 3 asd with adhd ) Waiting on letter though. Would explain the amount of the 1st payment for my 2nd.
