Looking for some help understanding tax on redundancy payments, I'm finding the egs on gov.uk confusing!

Am I right in thinking that the tax free £30k limit includes statutory redundancy and any additional severance pay, but that payment in lieu of notice and unpaid holiday would be taxed?

Bonuses, holiday pay etc are taxable

Yes, you could ask for them to "round" the severance payment and not identify the seperate parts, if below £30k so it's tax free.

So, say it all to totalked 26,222.67, round it to 26,250.00.
