Hello!
I have just applied for UC as a single person for the first time including the childcare payment.
I’ve just submitted my invoices from the nursery but realised it still has my ex-partners name and our home address on, ie his name and my address.
He moved out recently and I hadn’t even considered changing his address at nursery!
I’m worried that they might reject it or think that I’m trying to cheat by claiming as a single person.
What should I do? Write them a journal message? Or wait to be contacted?
Thanks!

The invoices have to have your name on them for them to pay. So it maybe that they won’t,
can you ask the nursery to give you a new invoice with updated name details?

Either put a message on the journal or give them a call and ask.

I suspect they may insist on the receipted invoices being in your name in which case can you ask the provider to reissue them?

Sorry I wasn’t very clear, it has my name on it but it also has his name.

Thank you I will send a message. They don’t usually send a receipted invoice but I’ve sent the invoice and a screenshot of my online banking having paid it.

This is normal, most nurseries seem to put the name of both people with parental responsibility - presumably so they have two parties to chase if fees aren't paid.

You can explain on your journal incase it's spotted but I wouldn't expect this to be an issue.
