worried ae help bout PP

Hi Everyone,

I have clamed PIP for 2 years. It's really helped me to live more comfortably with my condition ( car crash injuries) and It's been a huge help. All of the media report of PIP changing or being cancelled is making me so worried. I do work but I would really struggle without the PIP payment now.

Do people think it will be cancelled?

I don't believe that PIP will be radically changed, and even if it is, existing claimants won't have their money taken away.

The voucher scheme which was mooted is wildly unpopular and won't be adopted.

the media like to stir these things up without any real knowledge. There probably will be changed but these won’t happen overnight. I also think that they’ll target other benefits more than pip as a lot people claiming pip work full time

Again, no one can tell you what will happen with PIP. The only people who can do that, are the Government, and they have not revealed their plans, regarding PIP, as yet. You will spend a lot of time worrying in the meantime, as will a lot of other people, unfortunately.

I agree with the PP that the voucher scheme will not be used, as it would be completely unworkable.

The government are looking to rein back on PIP - but they aiming at mental health awards.

Claims about a car crash are highly unlikely to be affected. 😊
