Going down with flu and have work capability assessment

I am hoping I can rearrange the assessment. I know in theory you can but not sure how it works in practice.

I'm definitely going down with flu tonight and have a high temperature, but this is on top of my other health conditions that would make this hard anyway.

Has anyone rearranged their assessment and had no difficulty? I'm not able to go anywhere at the moment but will they force a telephone assessment on me. I'm still not up for it even if it's a telephone assessment. One of my problems is chronic fatigue and I am burnt out atm and cannot think straight to really make a lot of sense. I need a week or two to recover and then I can address it. Hoping they will agree.

I really hope the system in the UK is nicer than where I am and they'll rearrange In way too much pain, but they won't move mine and I'm having to take my Autistic kid because he's really struggling and it's not safe to leave him home with his siblings currently. But they have to hit their targets apparently and can't possibly wait a whole week for when my DC are with their dad. He's abusive and definetly not someone I can ask to have them an extra day and there's no one safe to leave him with. I was almost crying on the phone from the pain and the lady was trying to brain storm solutions, apparently there should be some mysterious way I can leave him with his scared siblings or magic up child care that won't cause a violent melt down. They're arseholes here

I would call the DWP medical service and explain your problem. If needs be can you get a fit note to confirm the flu diagnosis?

I'd expect that, if you're ill once with something like flu, they'd happily rearrange.

Issue for them is with people who repeatedly find reasons not to attend.

thanks, they were actually really nice, I think they could hear how congested I was. It's rearranged.
