Will claiming UC affect a current mortgage?

I can't seem to find anything about this online, I was wondering if someone could help?

If a claim for universal credit is taken out, could it affect the current mortgage? (like the bank assumes they can't pay the mortgage back) Not expecting the universal credit to be paid towards the mortgage, just wondering if it could impact it in any way. Thank you

Not that I am aware - the current lenders would never know.

No, I started claiming UC and had a mortgage , nothing happened.

The Lender wouldn’t know. As long as you keep paying the repayments each month they have no reason to ask any questions.
