Not sure if this is the best place for this but here goes. I placed an order for delivery a couple of days ago. 2 hrs later the restaurant had not updated the order status and were uncontactable by phone and the estimated delivery time had gone from an original 20 minutes from point of order to 3.5 hrs after point of order. I presumed the restaurant were unable to fulfil the order and I placed another one with a different restaurant which came in half an hour so 2.5 hrs after I had placed the original order.
When this new order arrived I gave the delivery code for it (different than the original delivery code) and both updated as "delivered" at the same time. I assumed this was an error, but then an hour and 15 minutes later - so 4 hrs and 45 minutes after I originally placed it. My initial order arrived. The courier said they needed the code to close the order off which I gave and they took the food away again with them. I contacted just eat straight away to explain what happened and requested a refund.
Just eat are now saying that because I gave the courier the code, they see it as order delivered and won't be refunding me anything. I requested a review and they are still saying the same. What can I do here to get my money back?
