Hi can anyone help me please. My savings this month will be £6800 which means i need to inform UC but i need to know if i tell them while i still have spending money in the bank or do i tell them just before the end of my assessment period once i have spent all my money and only have the savings in the account, thank you.☺️

I wonder this too. I've got to start saving for my teens car insurance so I may go over the 6k threshold. It's so stressful.

Sink surely just put the money for dc's car into dc's bank? It's not for your benefit is it?

I'm worried it'll be seen as deprivation of money. My UC anxiety is huge.

The figure that counts is the one at the end of the Assessment Period.

If it's over £6000 then tariff income of £4.35 for every £250 or part thereof over £6000 will be deducted.
