If your estate has never been, or never will be above the IHT limit can you give away whatever you like?

I have given away more than the exempt amounts in the last year but am way below ever having an estate worthy of IH.

Anyone can give away as much as they like, there just needs to be a record kept so that figures can be added to the Probate form if you die within 7 yrs.

Amount given away will be added to final estate value, but only affect IHT if you are close to or above the levels anyway.

....and don't forget that giving away a lot of your money could be seen as Deprivation of Assets if you ever needed to pay for care
