Pick Up Trucks - VAT !

Given the new rules in the budget regarding double cab pick up trucks being classed as a company car - am I right in thinking new ones from April will no longer be classed as a commercial vehicle, and therefore will no longer be subject to 20% vat on their sale price/monthly lease payments ?

I can’t find the answer on Google !

Call the dealer? They’ll def know.

As someone working at an independent garage definitely don't expect the dealer to know!

But unless they have u turned again they scrapped this idea quietly about a week after they announced it and they're to remain as a commercial vehicle? This was about 6 months ago I think.

Has it changed again?

Ah it appears they have U turned again it seems. I hadn't heard this on the news at all.
