Someone has mistakenly transferred £50 into my account - I don't know the payer!! I had an online chat with Monzo, they told me to transfer the money into a savings pot where they can take the payment if it is requested by the payer. Has this happened to anyone else?

Possibly not the case here, but there are various scams where money is 'accidentally' transferred into your account by scammers who then ask you to pay it back. You transfer the money, but then the original payment gets reversed leaving you short. So let Monzo deal with it - don't manually 'send it back' if anyone asks you to.
