Hi everyone, does anyone know of a website where I can work out how much I'll take home after tax etc? I will be paid for 6 weeks work in first payment for a new job and am trying to work out how much that will be as take home - maths is not my thing!

Thanks

This one?

https://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php

The hidden trap is if there's a mix up and tax codes are not applied correctly.

You could have gone to google faster...

HI all, thanks but I'm aware of the websites listed and they don't do what I need. Thanks though for the reply!

@boulevardofbrokendreamss what an absolute waste of a message.

what are you trying to work out; take home pay for the year or just from your first paycheque?

What you earned before you started this job will have a bearing on your take home but you could put your salary into an online calculator with the relevant deductions, student loan, pension etc and multiply the monthly amount by 42/30 and it will probably be right within about £50 either way.

Salary calculator will tell you monthly take-home. So that times 12 to give you yearly take-home, and then divide by 52 and times by 6 to give you roughly six weeks take home.

I use listen to the taxman.
