Probate and DWP investigation

How long did people wait in reality for the DWP to investigate after probate is granted following a bereavement.
I know it says 6-9 months but would like to hear other people's experiences as it's causing me sleepless nights and I feel like i can't move on with my grief while I'm still having to deal with solicitors.

I think it depends.

If there are no disparities between what was declared on a claim and what the estate looks like, not long. I think it took about three weeks in my experience, but that was a long time ago.
