How long should it take them to respond to a note?
I sent all proof of childcare
But they are saying send proof again.
I don't knew what they want from me. There has been numerous messages back and forth now where I've given detailed notes on what I've sent and when. And asked them to PLEASE check what I've sent. No one's managed to explain what exact proof they're needing that I haven't sent

And I haven't had a response to my journal I sent on Thursday and I'm wondering if they're ignoring me now

My dh started work beginning of September. He still gets demands to look for work.. The system is shit. We haw updated housing 3 times. Apparently they aren't happy with landlord details.. Same details every time because that's the details!

It’s unbelievably bad. I changed jobs in August but the childcare run on policy meant I could still get the childcare funding for the month between one job ending and the other starting. Even though it wasn’t the whole month! They didn’t like it and said they’ve referred my costs to a decision maker because I wasn’t earning enough that month. In the meantime they won’t pay next months invoice either until it’s assessed. Despite the fact I’m now working full time and presumably my full time pay is showing. Argh 🤪

I've had the same issues OP. Send another note, perhaps under a different subject heading. Mention that this is the second time you've contacted them and you need to know ASAP.

Sunshineclouds11 · 01/10/2024 10:13

I've never had a reply

purpleme12 · 01/10/2024 10:52

Oh god it's not just me then

I didn't call because previously when I've called the response is always 'send a journal note'

I'm starting to get really annoyed now

@purpleme12 the system is terrible from what I can gather. No onus on them to bother to check and respond to queries in an accurate or timely manner with a lot of queries unresponded to. I would say keep updating and use different subject headings, provided you've tried to contact them and kept a record of it they can't hold it against you. I believe there is also a way to raise a complaint somehow although I've not done it personally.

Hi . My universal credit hasn’t gone in . When I enquired on my journal the response was
money savings Investments
declare changes cancelled
does anyone one understand what this means ?
dies this mean my money has been cancelled . It’s all very vague

So usually first they want to see an invoice, the second proof is a bank statement showing it's paid.

I find it very frustrating as I'm often not asked for the second proof until over a month after I've reported the costs. Then my payment is less than it should be, because I wasn't asked for proof in time to get the higher contribution. Very frustrating.
