I am on universal credit and moving house to a new LHA area. When I update UC of my new address, will everything just switch over like the bedroom rate I get?

yes

Yes, you tell UC of the change of circs and provide details of the new home and tenancy details. They may need verification, for example sight of the tenancy agreement.

The new rate will be paid from (ie including) the AP in which you advise the CoC.
