anyone know whether the banks will still lend 4 x joint income?

we've sold and want to buy a forever house but have been working on the basis that we'll be able to borrow 4 x joint income.

anyone know if thats still possible. i could phone a few banks but its so time consuming

I tried it and they would lend us masses too!I don't even work atm no wonder this country is up creek

me too. on our salaries we think 500k is our limit. some people will assume that if the bank is willing to lend the money in this economic climate then that means they can afford it

They'd lend us 3x our current mortgage amount, Heaven knows where they think we'd find the money to repay!

No worries mummyj he can search the whole of market for you so saves ringing individual banks. If you just want to know roughly what you can borrow he can do that too. All his details on his web site, good luck

yes find a broker who will fast track the application, Abbey do not check income on propertys with 85% equity. Now you know how come house prices are so high.
