Do you have an Emergency Fund?

I’m just starting to re-build my Emergency Fund. Do you have one? If so, how much do you have aside?

Yes. Currently it’s about £18000 as I’ve had to use some of it for medical bills as the nhs is shit. So I’d like to increase it again to at least 20k which I’m planning to do by end of January.

I did but then had an emergency! Dc needed fled domestic violence and we set her up in a new place, got furniture and paid all her bills for 6 months until she was back on her feet.

That was two years ago and I’ve never started again or really financially recovered but it was worth it.
