Missing money between accounts

Can anyone help.

I have 2 long standing bank accounts which I transfer funds between. Last week I sent £2000 from my Santander to my Natwest account, this is not an unusual thing and have transferred between the accounts many times before.
For the transaction in question the funds have left my Santander account but not yet arrived at my Natwest account, this despite 5 days passing.
I have completed another transfer since (Albeit for a smaller amount) and that has gone through without issue.
Santander has supplied a reference number for the transaction however Natwest do not acknowledge the transfer number.
I'm stuck in the middle with both parties saying "not me" .......
Who's responsible to resolve this, the sending bank Santander or the receiving bank Natwest and how do I get then to do something about the issue ??
Any suggestions welcome.

Always the sending bank to start with.

Ask them to raise a Faster Payment trace.
