I’ve received a virtual visa online card as payment for work and it’s loaded with US dollars rather than GBP (I’m in the UK).
Ive just tried to use it online for a Pets at Home shop. It’s pretty irritating as you can’t use as a part payment and so I faffed until the transaction was 50p under the value of the card (converted to £) Payment failed. Tried again with a bigger buffer and still failed.
Google isn’t helping me - everything seems to suggest I can just use it online at any Visa accepting retailer who allows the input of CVV in the payment process.
Anyone with any experience? I’m skint so don’t really want to write this off.
