I'm just posting to remind myself! not a boast, as I know and understand its trying times for lots of people!
After taking a second job on, cutting back pointless spending and doing my own spreadsheet. I WILL be debt free in 6 months! after years of building debt and silly spending, I cannot wait for the burden to be gone! im 40 in 2 weeks so this is going to be a good year I can feel it!

Fantastic. Well done. It's not easy to completely change your relationship with money.

Although once frugal it's very hard to change back so you'll probably find you carry on living it once done. The positive of that is you'll soon have savings!

There are a few good offers for flexible savings rates, often with those attached to a current account. With interest rates perhaps at their peak for the immediate future, it might be a good idea to open one now. You may only be able to put a pound in it but it creates the account ready for when your six months is up and removes the temptation to have a blow out and think 'i'll do it next month '.
