I started using this last month. Thought I was doing ok but now the new month has meant I've got confused.

I have money assigned in my august budget that I didn't spend- what happens with this? It means I can't assign the full amount I have to September as it's assigned in August. I thought as I hadn't spent it it might transfer automatically or something?

Can anyone explain in v simple terms as I'm feeling dense!

Not quite sure what you mean? Is everything assigned? I attach 2 screenshots. One for August and one for September. You can see all the categories where I didn’t spend anything in August have rolled over to September (with further sums assigned for September).

So auto-maintenance for example. It started as zero at the start of last month as we’d spent previous budget for that category. Last month I assigned £30 and didn’t spend any of it. I assigned another £30 this month and the category is now showing as £60 (£30 carried over and £30 assigned).

Ah mine didn't roll over if I didn't spend it, it still made me assign everything for September?

You assign any income not already assigned. Whether that’s for September or any time in the future. Anything already assigned and not spent in August will automatically roll over.
