Self employment and changing pensions

I've been offered a new job with an overall increase in package. I would be leaving my current employer pension scheme and setting up a SIPP instead (the new role is a partner in a partnership).

I'm looking for an online calculator that allows me to work out optimal pension contributions and compare to my current pension. I want to make sure I'm paying in enough and maximising tax relief and also that I'm not making an epensive mistake!

For simplicity lets say my current role has package of 120k and the new package is estimated at around 135k.

All the online calculators I can find assume employer pension rather than SIPP only.
