Work Capability Help

Hi there, just wondering if anyone can help

I submitted my first sick note on 10/01/2024

My Universal Credit payment date is 1st of the month

My assessment period for January was 25/12/23 to 25/01/24

I have just done my work capability assessment and have been put in the LCWRA Group

Am I right to assume that I will be backpaid for April, May, June, July, August and September?

I've missed the assessment period for this month (august) so am I right to assume that I will get 6 months back pay on the 1st October?

Thanks in advance

I think there need to be three clear APs between the submission of the fit note and qualifying for payment so LCfWRA element will kick in from May but yes, you should get backpay.

Yes, you're right @Bromptotoo. The Dec/Jan assessment period won't count, because the FIT note was submitted part way through, so the first assessment period of the 3-month "relevant period" is the Jan/Feb one.
